Suzanne Hoban founded the Family Health Partnership Clinic in Woodstock, Ill., in 1996. The Clinic provides basic preventive medical care to those without health insurance of any kind.
Originally, the clinic projected 500 patient visits a year; last year it had more than 5,000.
Suzanne has recruited more than 18 volunteer physicians to come and work at the Clinic. With their help, the Clinic offers services from pediatrics to podiatry. Suzanne also has developed innovative ways to further develop the clinic’s effectiveness, such as partnering with local health and community groups to provide mammograms and additional services.
Suzanne has worked tirelessly to communicate the importance of access to health care for everyone. Her efforts put strength behind the words of the clinic’s mission statement: “We recognize that as a community, we are all responsible for each other.”
