Shimmy has developed a way to make giving as simple as a few mouse clicks, which is crucial in this age of over-committed work schedules. Shimmy gives 20-40 hours per week to Angelwish, in addition to his fulltime job, hoping people will take advantage of digital philanthropy. Knowing that everyone can make a difference, Shimmy developed Angelwish so companies could provide their employees a convenient way to share their good fortune with those in need.
Shimmy is 28, and while his peers focus on their own careers, he has taken that extra step on behalf of others. He often reminds me that there is the work you do to make a living, and then there are those things you do that are your lifes work. His tireless devotion to the needs of children that are the beneficiaries of the gifts that Angelwish provides is without parallel.
